5 Tips for getting the kids out of the door, on time
Getting the kids out of the door, on time. Whether it is for school sports, or other activities can be daunting. It is amazing how many things kids need before heading out the door. These tips and tricks help my family get out of the door not only on time but normally leave us with enough time to watch a cartoon or have some family time.
1) Place clothes out the night before.
Not only do I put my kids clothes out the night before but I put them in the same designated space. A space where they can easily reach them and put them on themselves
2) Pack lunches the night before
I do what I can to make sure the kids lunches are packed the night before so they can easily be thrown in backpack in the morning.(affiliate link) These are many favorite lunch boxes, try them out!
3) Waters in fridge
Water bottles are next to each lunch in the fridge so they can also be easily grabbed and put in a backpack in the morning. My kids also love cold water, so bonus points for me!
4) Homework by backpacks
Back packs are normally laid out next to their clothes with homework on top or inside. I make sure my oldest knows she needs to be responsible for her homework so I make her put it inside herself.
5) Shower before bed
An oldie but a goodie, showering before bed is a huge time saver, 20-30 minutes at least!
These tips for getting the kids out of the door on time has saved my family a ton of hustle and bustle in the morning. Having a few things ready in the morning keeps stress low and is creating great habits for my kids. Kids crave routine and this routine has us ready to go about 30 minutes prior to departure!
Added tip, doing what you can to get your self ready for the day is a must as well. Having my clothes ready in the morning and getting dressed while their eating, is stress free for me and gives me some uninterrupted getting ready time.
