Hope.  Hope is a profound word. By definition it is a feeling of expectation and a desire for a certain thing to happen. A feeling of trust

The power of hope can reach into ones soul and turn everything around, it can muster up courage, bravery and even something as simple as a smile.

Last week in church, we touched on the power of hope. Through God we can restore all things. The word and the power of the message hit home for me.  It hit me hard and had me realize that lots of us moms could use a whole lotta hope in our daily lives.  We are on a constantly moving train and sometimes we loose hope.   Sometimes we forget that He is with us. That hope is always there and it is a powerful thing that can turn us around and back onto the right path.

Here are 6 ways to implement the power of hope in motherhood

  1. Don’t put all of your hope in one basket
    1. Putting all of your hope in one basket can create a roller coaster affect. Meaning, don’t expect only one outcome. Spread the hope you are looking for into a few different aspects of your life and let them come to life. You will be surprised how uplifting it is to see one of them flourish.
  2. Be aware of what you are hoping for
    1. Make sure that what you are hoping for is tried and true, a hope that brings joy and faith. Not one of selfish needs.
  3. Be aware of what you are putting your hope in
    1. Is your hope going to the right baskets, is it going to a place where you are going to bring positivity to your family. Or is it going to bring joy to your heart?
  4. Start your day by reading His word, create hope from the begining
    1. I strive to read the word everyday. Sometimes I miss those days and when I do I feel like my day falls apart.   I feel like I fall of the path that I am supposed to be on.
      1. You should invest in two amazing books by the Better Mom at thebettermom.com.  You will love how they change the outlook of your day. From Grouchy to Great and Pressing Pause 100 Quiet Moments for Moms to Meet with Jesus.
  5. Trust in hope
    1. Always trust that He has a plan and that what is happening in your life now is for a reason. Trust in a hopeful and positive outcome.
  6. Turn to hope
    1. Meaning turn to prayer and returning to your designated path. Return to your path will bring order into your household.

Even though hope is a hard thing to hold onto, focusing on a few things that bring a smile to your face can change your day to day outlook.
